I am not sure. Is a lamp like this something you would like in your home? I think I prefer a lamp to say something about a person.

Though, I guess this one says "Kiss me, I might be a prince"

Arty family

In my family there seem to be some that carries "artsy" genes. Kristofer Leirdal is maybe the best known of these people. During WWII he spent some time with his brother on the family farm, and among else he created a lot of figures in plaster. They were mainly models for bigger statues, some of which he did in stone later on. This is a picture of a window on the farm where some of his plaster figures is put on display.

Pompidou centre

As I mentioned in a previous post. I went pretty much amok with my camera in Paris, and one of the most photographed buildings in Paris is the famous Pompidou centre. Everybody that has a little interest in design or architecture takes pictures of that building, and so did I. But hey, there is a reason. How many buildings do you know that have colour coded pipes on the outside of the building, yellow for electricity, red for transport, blue for water and green for air?

Norwegian design in Milan

Now, as I have told before, my little brother is a designer. A little while ago he and his colleague did the 3D models (not the design itself) of a new 4 wheel vehicle for a company called Haro. Recently Haro got an excellent reception [2] in Milan, Italy.

A great looking washbasin

A little while back my little brother and his colleague tried to win a design competition with this washbasin. There are a lot of details here. Both regarding to design and usability. They didn't win, but both I and several with me think they should have . Anyway, take a look at the high resolution image on flickr to see some of the details. I think they were on to something.
