While visiting Copenhagen we found that the wind had wrought a family tragedy on the sidewalk. A tiny white egg was laying there smashed, the yolk floating on the street and next to it a few branches of what once had been a bird’s nest. I have no idea what kind of bird had built the nest or laid the egg, but it obviously had been blown down from some of the metal workings of the bridge we were crossing. I guess a tree and a bridge have some different friction values.<\/p>\n
